Trance DJs

trance music is a form of electronic dance music. The main difference in trance compared to other forms is the tempo or speed of its beat which is somewhat higher in trance. This comparison holds even when compared to other electronic music forms as well. The origin of its name or how it came to be called is subject to speculation, some say it is called so because of its perceived ability to cause a trance in the listeners. This effect is supposed to be caused by the extensive drum beats used in most trance DJs for long periods of time.
Trance music had its origins in the early 1980’s in the form of experimental music made using sequencers. Similar experiments were being done since the late 1970’s but didn’t really catch on till the mid 1980’s. It is also considered an offshoot of techno and house music having its origins in Germany. Many trance DJs produced records during that period and the music resembled techno and didn’t yet have a style of its own. These records are considered classic trance now and were followed by popular trance. Popular trance video was not as abstract as its predecessor and had a more danceable quality to it.
